The beautiful voyage of kermit’s life

I have been missing him and him. First is the one who just left yesterday, Mr Kimchi. Rather, I would acknowledge him as the Adventure club’s Kimchi. The one and only, special one. Thinking back, that I was staring at him across Valuation Class, thinking when will the professor give us a much needed break. And then 5 lightning months later, we are good friends. Good times are always poignant, more so than bad at least. I will always remember him as someone ready with a friendly open smile, with no airs, someone who even being an exchange student, was studious and driven, ready to take up challenges, setting goals and aims for himself. I somehow remember the time when he was upset about his first presentation, but his progress and confidence was apparent towards the end of our semester. Its like looking at a stranger grow, and yet he is a friend in my heart. Beneath the Happy-go-lucky nature, there lies someone deep, thoughtful and most importantly kind. Willing to open his heart and be part of the Adventure club. The times spent playing football at Sentosa, cycling around in Ubin were the best times. I shall always remember this special friend who has entered my life during my graduation. =)

The other is even further. Sighs…

So many memories. I learnt a lot in my 4 years in NUS, not lest the technical parts, but more about how to deal with people, about understanding people’s thoughts, feelings. About knowing there is another better/worse world out there, right out of my own safe little cocoon.

Went Sentosa with a bunch of enthusiastic and lovable people on Good Friday. I am so glad that we were blessed with super sunny and bright weather! And even more blessed with this group of friends that I will never forget. So many of them were so hyped up about the event, sinyee, xinyi, Brian, Renny, slyvia, kenneth and woke up early to prepare for the food and tents etc. I guess I am really fortunate to know this group of friends, from different walks of life, some working, some in different faculties, different schools. But all, with the same easy-going nature and vibrancy in them. And not forgetting my dear secretary who is approaching a quarter of a century, I must admit that did an excellent job managing the crowd and keeping everyone’s spirits up. Although, I understand that some still fell short of his abilities to include them.
